We used to implement famous competitors' solutions for 10 years and there was always something wrong with those products: deployment was tricky, audits were not exhaustive, data was there but it was almost impossible to "use" it efficiently, not enough management functions, too many open windows, complex SQL queries, poor license management tools, etc. As a result, we were always asked to develop complementary tools and add-ons.
